This test chamber enables the fan and resistance curves of filters, flaps and trenches etc. to be measured in accordance with the standards and characteristic curves of complete units can also be determined completely automatically.
Two climate simulation units supply conditioned air up to an air volume of 14,000 m³/h. This air with a defined air temperature and humidity can be fed directly to ventilation units. In addition, the two units are used to test air to water heat exchangers or air to air heat exchangers. A heating and cooling circuit is integrated into sections of the FEC for thermodynamic tests in high performance areas. The multi-purpose laboratory has two pairs of heat exchangers for cold/hot water that can provide a capacity of up to 40/80kW.
