KaDius

The KaDius has a uniform, horizontal 360° discharge pattern. As a result, there are no draughts in the occupied zone and, with correct positioning, comfort in the room can be ensured. It does not matter whether the unit is freely suspended or installed just under the ceiling.

As it is important to us to offer a wide range of colours for the KaDius, the following seven colours are available at no surcharge: Traffic white (RAL 9016 SG), White aluminium (RAL 9006 SG), Iron-glimmer grey (DB 703 metallic fine structure), Jet black (RAL 9005 MA-SM), Moss green (RAL 6005 MA), Reddish brown metallic fine structure, Gold metallic fine structure.

The KaDius is available in two casing versions, powder-coated in a colour of your choice:

- Fully encased with casing rings as side casing and design panel visible from below

- Partially encased with surface-structured EPP design structure visible at the side, and design panel on the underside.

KaDius units comply with the most stringent hygiene requirements and are certified to VDI 6022. This makes them ideal for sensitive areas, including schools, administration buildings, offices or healthcare facilities.

Thanks to their unique maintenance concept, all the relevant components, including the heat exchanger, condensate pump and condensate tray, are easily accessible, visible and can be cleaned. Detach the condensate tray without the need for a tool to wipe it and then reattach it.

Warm summers, cool rooms - the KaDius provides a comfortable indoor climate in warm conditions. Any condensate produced is quietly and reliably drained by the condensate pump. The condensate pump is integrated in the KaDius and operates very quietly, resulting in a low sound pressure level of less than 20 dB(A). Any condensate produced is detected by a capacitative sensor and can be carried to the next collection point with a delivery height of 6 metres. Possible leaks are avoided due to its compact construction and with no float switch. An alarm is triggered in the event of malfunction or too high a water level in the condensate tray. The condensate tray, made of thermally and acoustically insulating EPP, features a gradient on all sides for rapid drainage of the condensate. During maintenance, the condensation tray can also be cleaned with disinfectant.

The utility model-protected and patent-pending design permits the unit to be installed extremely close to the ceiling, at the same time with the underside of the unit closed. Wedges in the EPP housing separate the conditioned air into jets with a high pulse, which increases the throw. The jets fan out so that the individual jets merge to form 360° air distribution on all sides, while air can be drawn in by suction at the wedges in the dead zones without this creating short-circuiting.

The basic unit is made of expanded polypropylene (EPP), a plastic consisting of 96% air. This makes it lighter, more environmentally friendly and simplifies transport and installation. In addition, EPP reduces the carbon footprint of the unit by about 45% compared to the conventional production of similar products.

In the event of maintenance, the lower segment of the unit can drop down once the knurled screws on the top of the unit have been loosened, making it easy to access all components of the unit relevant for maintenance. This makes access to and maintenance of the heat exchanger, valve kit, control assembly, fan and condensate tray easier.

Thanks to its clever design with an eccentrically positioned fan, there is room in the unit for pre-assembled valves and corrugated pipes that lead out upwards. This provides for convenient connection to the supply network. Its lightweight carcass made of expanded polypropylene (EPP) simplifies transport and assembly. Simpler suspension with wire cable hangers is possible.

We look at the environmental impact of our products over the entire life cycle – “cradle to cradle”! This results in Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). EPDs can be easily submitted for all common building sustainability certification systems, such as DGNB, BREEAM or LEED, and are available in the Download area.
