Our good reputation and the relationships that we have built in the past with great commitment and passion can quickly suffer considerable damage as a result of unethical conduct or breaches of the law.
It is therefore essential that we preserve and protect our reputation with the utmost care. All employees are required to behave responsibly as a matter of principle and to act in accordance with applicable law. Illegal business practices must be avoided without exception.
In order to meet these challenges in the best possible way, we have established a compliance management system.
Our Code of Conduct – We want to be successful, but also to act with enjoyment, a clear conscience and in harmony with the legitimate interests of our customers, suppliers, managers, colleagues and society. Our Code of Conduct makes it clear what we understand by integrity, which rules apply to us and which principles guide us.
Our Code of Conduct for Business Partners – Our business partners also contribute to the success of the Kampmann Group. We see a shared understanding of sustainable and ethical conduct as an essential and common basis for doing business. Our Code of Conduct for Business Partners specifies the Kampmann Group's expectations regarding the attitude and conduct of business partners in their business activities.
Policy statement on respecting and promoting human rights – Respect for human rights is of central importance to us and an indispensable part of our responsible corporate governance. With our policy statement on respecting and promoting human rights, we are committed to implementing human rights due diligence in our own processes and in cooperation with business partners.
Tax Compliance – Paying taxes is a foundation of a functioning society. That is why we assume full responsibility for our tax conduct in all countries in which we operate. As part of the continuous expansion of our Tax Compliance Management System, controls and measures are defined and monitored to ensure the complete and timely fulfilment of tax obligations. Continuous monitoring of tax risks and opportunities is an integral part of our Tax Compliance Management System for risk prevention. Clearly defined roles and responsibilities enable a professional and goal-oriented approach to tax matters.
The Kampmann whistleblower system, which was introduced in 2022, is GDPR-compliant and meets the regulatory requirements for whistleblower protection on the basis of the German Whistleblower Protection Act and the EU Whistleblower Directive, is another building block of our trust-based collaboration in the Kampmann Group. The principle is simple: employees as well as external parties (business partners or other third parties) can submit a report in this internet portal anonymously or by stating their name; it is treated in the strictest confidence and reviewed in a structured procedure. The categories under which misconduct can be reported range from conflicts of interest and anti-competitive behaviour to corruption, environmental violations or other misconduct.
