Hygienic heating and cooling

The unit is suitable for all indoor spaces with high hygiene requirements, such as office buildings, public buildings, therapy facilities, doctors’ practices, waiting areas and laboratories.

Maximum comfort

The heated or cooled air flow is discharged from the unit laterally above the panel and thus glides along the ceiling. The so-called Coanda effect is used here. The even air distribution in the room ensures comfort and prevents draughts.

KaCool D HY is available in 4 model sizes (output sizes).

Installation options

The dimensions are selected so that the ceiling cassette can be installed seamlessly in grid ceilings .

Easy maintenance

The high-quality design panel is easy to remove and thus provides easy access to all maintenance components.

High-quality materials

It is made of galvanised, painted steel, while the interior of KaCool D HY is fitted with a sheet steel lining that is thermally and acoustically coated on the basis of polyolefins.

These materials are corrosion-resistant, easy to clean and resistant to humidity and microbial contamination. They promote a hygienic unit design and permanently clean air guidance.

Can be combined with heat pump

KaCool D HY is suitable for operation with a heat pump or other low-temperature systems. The low system temperatures increase the efficiency of the heat pump and enable both heating and cooling operation.

Technical highlights

Cooling function included

  • The unit is suitable for dry and wet cooling.
  • Available as both a 2-pipe system and a 4-pipe system  
  • The stainless steel condensate tray collects the condensate and drains it from the unit.
  • Condensate drainage is provided either via a free drain or an optional condensate pump.

Two filter options

  • Two filter versions are available for air intake through the grille.
  • Select a filter according to your requirements: ISO ePM10>50% (formerly M5) 
    or ISO ePM1>50% (formerly F7).

High-quality fan

  • The electric fan unit comprises a continuously variable radial fan and an overload-protected motor.

Hygiene-certified

  • KaCool D HY meets the highest hygiene requirements. Certification in accordance with the VDI 6022 hygiene guideline has been carried out externally by the HyBeta hygiene institute.

Control options

KaControl MC

With the integrated KaControl MC control, KaCool D HY offers bidirectional communication of up to 10 units within a group/room via CAN bus. With KaControl MC, the unit can be easily integrated into common building management systems such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, BACnet/IP and KNX-TP.
