        • As an easy-to-install replacement for conventional radiators and an alternative to underfloor heating
        • Particularly light thanks to the EPP housing (expanded polypropylene)
        • fulfills the requirements of VDI 6022

        Casing and air outlet grille

        • Unobtrusive design in flat radiator look consisting of powder-coated sheet steel
        • Front panel and air outlet grille in traffic white (RAL 9016), side panels in white aluminum (RAL 9006)
        • Color selection according to customer requirements possible
        • Casing completely covers the valve and electrical connection area and provides sufficient space for connecting the unit

        Basic unit

        • Basic unit is built on an innovative EPP basic structure
        • EPP is characterized by high rigidity with low weight, very good insulating properties and good recyclability
        • The possibility of complex shaping provides optimum aerodynamic conditions for the heat exchanger and fan, resulting in top performance and low noise levels.
        • Three device lengths available

        EC motor and tangential fan

        • Durable, stepless and energy-saving EC tangential fan
        • Cross-flow roller is specially embedded in the EPP housing and optimized via CFD simulations to enable maximum energy efficiency at low sound levels and high air volume flows.
        • Quiet tangential fan for noise-sensitive applications
        • Stepless fan speed control for demand-based heat supply

        Condensate tray

        • The unit always offers a condensate tray to realize humid cooling.
        • Depending on the structural conditions on site, a free drain (accessories) can be provided from the tray; alternatively, the condensate can be drained using a condensate pump (accessories).
        • The condensate pump is extremely quiet (less than 20 dB(A)), the fill level of the tray is detected via a capacitive sensor and the pump speed is adjusted accordingly.

        High-output heat exchanger

        • Large-area high-performance copper/aluminium heat exchanger optimized for heating and cooling operation at LPHW
        • Pressure loss optimized on both the water and air side for maximum efficient operation of the fan and circulation pump in the heating system

        Valves and connections

        • Optional valve kits consisting of thermostatic valve, lockshield valve and corrugated pipes for a flexible and simple connection
        • Optionally supplied or factory-fitted
        • Automatic hydraulic balancing through differential pressure independent valves

        Air filter

        • ISO Coarse class filter filters dust from the room air
        • can be vacuumed and cleaned when installed
        • Protection against accidental intrusion and soiling

        Control option

We offer various solutions for the control and regulation of our units, which can be used depending on the application and requirements:

        Display

An integrated touch display in the casing is available for operation and control.

        Electromechanical control

This variant is ideal for simple applications. All integrated actuators are factory-wired to terminals and can be connected to our electromechanical accessories such as thermostats or external controllers.

        KaControl MC1

Our comprehensive comfort control offers extended control options for individual rooms or appliance groups.

It can be operated either via a touch display or a web interface.

Thanks to on-site 0-10V control or common communication protocols such as Modbus RTU & TCP, BACnet and KNX, this solution is ideal for all BMS applications.

        Thermostat

Two different room thermostats are available for operation and control (heating only or heating and cooling)

        Length

PowerKon LT can be selected in various lengths.

        Model sizeLength
        1780 mm
        21030 mm
        31220 mm

        Water connections

Depending on the structural conditions and installation requirements, two connection variants can be selected:

        Left or right connection.

These variants enable optimum adaptation to the pipe routing on site and reduce both installation work and costs.

For wall-mounted units, the connection side is defined from the viewing angle of the mounted unit.

For ceiling-mounted units, please refer to the technical drawing or installation instructions for the definition.

        Valve version

The valve equipment differs as follows:

        Without valve equipment:

The units are supplied without pre-assembled valves. A wide range of accessories is available for individual configuration.

        With valve equipment:

Assembly is carried out at the factory. Valves and any existing pipework are checked for tightness and sealed after installation. This reduces the installation time on site.

        Valve version
        pressure-independent thermostatic valve, pre-assembled, adjustable
        thermostatic valve, pre-assembled, adjustable
        without thermostatic valve

        Replacing existing heaters

        • It is possible to replace existing panel radiators with PowerKon LT radiators.
        • The existing pipe network can still be used.
        • Determination of the unknown and estimated radiator output for PowerKon LT design is possible using the BWP radiator calculator.
        • When using the cooling function with condensate in the existing system, the vapor diffusion tightness of the entire pipe network must be ensured.

        Installation distances and heights

        • Minimum ground clearance: 100 mm
        • Minimum wall clearance: 100 mm
        • windowsill min. 100 mm above device
        • The windowsill should protrude a maximum of 120 mm into the room.

        Connection options

        • simplified hydraulic connection thanks to pre-assembled valve kit with stainless steel corrugated pipes and pressable copper fitting
        • Connection side left or right selectable during configuration
        • optional connection to the device from the wall or the floor
        • Use of existing lines possible

        condensate drain

When operating the unit below the dew point, note the following:

        • The maximum delivery height of the condensate pump is 6 m from the lower edge of the unit and must not be exceeded.
        • Condensate lines must be ventilated or vented.
        • Provide lines with a permanent and continuous gradient (1%). Avoid inclines or so-called "water pockets". Use only fixed lines (no flexible hoses) for horizontal lines.
        • Connections and transitions (e.g. from hose to fixed line) must be tightly and mechanically secured, e.g. by the use of hose clamps.
        • If a siphon stop device is located at the transition point from the device to the on-site drain, it must be mounted at the highest point of the drainage profile.
        • Protect condensate-carrying lines against falling below the dew point, e.g. by means of vapour diffusion-tight insulation.

        Hygiene compliance

        • Complies with the relevant hygiene guideline VDI 6022
        • Goal: Ensuring hygienic supply air that is harmless to health
        • Applies to common rooms such as workplaces, meeting rooms, break rooms, living rooms, sports facilities and sales rooms.
        • With factory-fitted ISO Coarse filter in the intake area.
        • Accessibility of all ventilated and water-bearing components for cleaning.

        Life Cycle Assessment Data (LCA)

        • Considers the environmental impact of the product over its entire life cycle.
        • Published as an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) in accordance with standard EN 15804.
        • Available for download at International EPD System.
        • Item number-specific life cycle assessment data in the technical data sheets.
        • Product is registered in the DGNB Navigator (building product platform).

Serves as proof for certification systems, e.g:

        • DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council);
        • BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method);
        • LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
