The Katherm HK E trench technology unit operates with an individually switchable electric heating element. The heating and cooling functions are performed via LPHW or CHW: a 2-pipe solution with 4-pipe comfort.

Determine indoor air quality yourself

The system is centrally set to "cooling"? With the Katherm HK E, the room can be heated via the continuously controllable electric heating element. This allows the room user to determine their individual indoor air quality.

Lowest noise thanks to acoustic decoupling

Katherm HK E trench technology units are very often used in acoustically sensitive rooms, as the smooth-running tangential fans are mounted with acoustic decoupling. For maintenance purposes, the fan can be easily removed and reinserted without tools.

48 variants

There are two trench widths to choose from, as well as two width-dependent trench heights. Depending on the on-site requirements, various product-specific lengths are available for all performance requirements in the 2-pipe system.

Custom-made solutions

Custom-made solutions are possible for every building architecture with individual geometries. This applies to the trench and the grille. Available options include, for example:

  • mitred corners
  • curved designs
  • angles and slopes
  • column cut-outs
  • various grille variants
  • frame edges

Removal of the tangential fan

The high-efficiency EC tangential fans used in the Katherm HK E can be easily removed without tools for cleaning and maintenance thanks to an innovative fixing system.

Protection during installation and construction phase

The Katherm HK E units are carefully packaged for delivery. In addition, the trenches are protected from dirt and damage with a sustainable paper cover.

As the trenches are often installed in the building at an early phase of the interior fit-out, a wooden installation cover can also be factory-fitted for protection during the construction phase at an additional cost. The grilles are supplied separately packaged.

Primary air supply

Katherm HK E units with supply air function are ideally suited for introducing treated primary air (fresh air) into the room. Heating, cooling and air supply are thus optimally combined. There are two design variants to choose from for this purpose: primary air supply via supply air modules or through supply air ducts.

Switchable electric heating element

  • the integrated electric heating element can be individually switched on for room heating when heating is required
  • the electric heating element and the EC fans used are continuously controllable in output and fan speed
  • makes additional electric heating possible

Primary air supply

  • Katherm HKE units with supply air function are ideally suited for the introduction of treated primary air (fresh air) into the room
  • heating, cooling and air supply are optimally combined
  • there are two design variants to choose from for this purpose: primary air supply via supply air modules or through supply air ducts
  • with both variants, the primary air volume flow exits the trench at a low, low-turbulence air outlet velocity
  • the supplied air volume can be adjusted as required via air dampers

Electromechanical control

This variant is ideal for simple applications. All integrated actuators are factory-wired to a terminal and can be connected to our electromechanical accessories such as thermostats or external controllers.
