      KaControl smart room control

      • KaControl control system for operation via separate room control unit, external control via 0-10V signal or via building automation systems such as KNX, Modbus, BACnet (additional accessories plug-in card required)
      • Room group control of up to six units or up to 30 units via additionally required CanBus cards
      • Demand-dependent automatic fan control or optional manual fan control
      • Connection options e.g. external room sensor, window contact etc.
      • Individually parameterizable for optimum adaptation to the conditions on site

KaControl control option with external 0-10 V control

The KaControl control option provides the option of omitting the valve control data point when externally controlled by an on-site 0-10 V signal. The fan valve and speed control logic comes from the KaControl. Note the deviation of the signal points from the design program with 0-10 V control by others.

      Design program data: 2 V 4 V 6 V 8 V 10 V

      External 0-10 V on the KaControl: 4.3 V 5.5 V 6.8 V 7.8 V 10 V

      basic unit

Kampmann Katherm HK trench heater, ready-to-install floor trench, either for installation in raised or screeded floors, convector-based for heating and cooling with tangential fan convection. Heat and cooling outputs tested in accordance with E DIN EN 16430, parts 1 to 3. Hygiene-certified in line with VDI 6022.
Trench chassis made of sendzimir galvanised sheet steel, coated in graphite gray on both sides. Height-adjustable on the sides using mounting aids, with impact sound insulation; features a sturdy height-adjustment mechanism with impact sound insulation, for secure mounting of the duct. With pre-punched openings for water supply and return as well as electrical connections, on the room side.
Trench chassis prepared for condensate pump mounting kit. Segmented sheets serving as both finger protection for the tangential fan and a mounting frame for the filter fleece, air-guidance sheet, grate support, and cross-brace for reinforcing the duct. Center wall serving as both an air-guidance sheet and a mounting plate for the tangential fan.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data is published in the form of an EPD according to EN 15804 and is available to download from the International EPD System. Registered in the building products platform DGNB Navigator. GWP (phase A1-A3), kg CO2 Äq.2,00E+02. Further calculations possible online.

      Heat exchanger

High-performance heat exchanger made of circular copper pipes with aluminum fins and a Eurokonus valve connection, coated in graphite gray. Features an anti-rotation device. Collector with integral bleed option.

      Condensate tray

Condensate tray has a flow-optimised design, for the simultaneous discharge of condensate and air guidance below the convector. Condensate tray designed as an independent component that can be removed for cleaning and maintenance in accordance with VDI 6022.

      Fan

Tangential fan with safety guard. Energy-saving EC fan with 0-10 V input for continuously variable speed control with sound-optimised commutation electronics. Valve controlled via 24 V DC control contacts. All rotating parts have low-noise and maintenance-free bearings. Motor monitoring with internal fault processing.
Uniform airflow through the convector, low power consumption for efficient, energy-saving operation, and optimized for low noise levels. Easily removable for cleaning and Maintenance thanks to a combined coupling/ball-bolt system that also provides acoustic decoupling. Factory-wired and ready for connection.

      Control

KaControl smart board control version, electrical connection unit factory-fitted and wired in the unit. Operation via a separate room control unit acting as a master unit or used as a slave unit in group mode, alternatively single unit control via an analogue 0-10 V signal, alternatively single unit control via communication cards.
      KaControl control board functions:
      • room control of up to six units via a KaControl t-LAN interface
      • room control of up to 30 units and CANbus card additionally required
      • Temperature measurement optionally via sensor in the room control unit or external room temperature sensor
      • Slot for communication cards (KNX TP, Modbus RTU)
      • two digital inputs, parametrisable
      • condensate alarm
      • Device On/Off
      • Comfort/Economy switch-over with invertible switching logic
      • Three multifunction inputs, e.g. for room temperature or air intake sensors.
      • Two digital outputs for control of 1 heating valve / 1 cooling valve 24 V DC
      • error message 24 V DC, only with 2-pipe
      • optional fan activation via contact sensor opt.
      • room and unit frost protection control
      • offset function for temperature sensor
      • Demand-led or manual fan control (0-100%)
      • parameter-driven integration of natural convection into the control sequence
      • Sequential control of valve and fan via a 0-10 VDC point. Motor monitoring with fault signal processing on the KaControl control board factory-wired ready for connection.
